The Shotgun Approach

“If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barreled shotgun,” he said. “Have the shells of a 12-gauge shotgun and I promise you – as I told my wife … ‘Jill, if there is ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out, put that double barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house. I promise you whoever is coming in is not going to.’ ”

The shotgun, he said, is more effective than an assault-style weapon such as the AR-15, which he said “is harder to aim, it is harder to use. … Buy a shotgun.”

Biden has become the Obama administration’s public face on gun control, first leading a group Obama tasked with meeting various stakeholders on the gun control issue and then promoting the platform in a series of ongoing public appearances. He will attend a gun violence conference on Thursday near Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 students and six adults were killed by a gunman at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December.

ShotgunApproach

The Shotgun Approach

In last article of the Eagle Speaks, we made reference to the 1st and 2nd amendments to the Constitution.

“To give life is to make law or place under law. Adam was created by God to be under law. In fact, all of His creation is under law and obedience to His laws is essential for life. When one breaks a law, he must come under the penalty of that law because all violations have penalties. The Congress of the United States is the lawmaking body. It is the highest in the land. The speaking of the law is the law in action (ratified) and the causing is the enforcement of the law.”

“As men depart from God, of whom the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were based upon, they come up with another way of governing. This is the mystery of iniquity at work. As a serpent will strike without enchantment, so will men come up out of nowhere and strike when you least expect them to. And when these type of thinkers get in positions of responsibility, they can do the most damage in a short space of time. They care not for the greatness of the nation or reverence God. They only care about themselves and their cause. They are more dangerous than open and avowed enemies.
Presently, the first two Amendments to the Constitution are in the cross hairs of these men. They are as follows:

Amendment #1 (1791). Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment #2 (1791). A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
All across this great nation, local, state and federal violations are taking place against people’s freedom to exercise these Constitutional rights. These violations are tearing out the heart of America. When America becomes like the nations of Europe again, where will the people flee to then? Who will stand up for them?”

Based on the second amendment in comparison with “The Shotgun Approach” it is easy to see a violation of Constitutional law. The leaders of this land swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. Any tendency to violate this oath to uphold the Constitution should be reason for removing anyone from office who would lessen the force of the law or it’s intent. This is clearly being done in the face of brilliant lawyers, politicians, and statesmen. They should be clear-minded enough to see the law of the land being torn down by men/women in their rank.

What we have developing in this country is a trend toward anarchy and rebellion. When the Constitution is removed, what will the people have to protect themselves? They will become a law unto themselves and the things that have been anticipated will take place. Their rights as a people to protect themselves has been abridged by those who have felt the need to violate the Constitution.

With GOD being removed from HIS authoritative position and HIS law as the guiding principle, this government is speaking as the Dragon of Revelation 13: 11. Paganism, Anti-GODism is the ruling factor instead of Christlike (The LAMB) principles. What we are witnessing are THE STEPS to the fulfillment of Revelation 13: 11-18.

The Rights of The People

People are given rights by God that are not given by man.  Sometimes, it takes years for rights to be given by man and sometimes, they are never given.  Sometimes, the call for rights is not right.  How do we know the difference between true rights and pseudo rights?
What kind of a person is it who does not respect the rights of others?  What about those in authority, government, who hold in check any or all claims for rights?
How do you feel when you think your rights are violated?  How do you feel when you violate the rights of others?  Not so?
May these few lines help to remove some of the fog that concern our rights.
First of all, let’s list some of the claims for right:
Human rights, animal rights, women’s rights, homosexual rights, civil rights, individual rights, right to life, right to choose, voting right, right to worship, right to die, 1st Amendment right, etc.
Of the above list, which concern you the most?  Which do you think are the most abused?  Which are not legitimate?  Which do you not understand?
When your rights are not respected, what do you do?  What would you do if you could do something?
Let’s see what God says since He’s the absolute authority.
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take [it]; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.  Ps. 7:4, 5.
What right is brought out in this Scripture?
Here’s another one.  Look up Num. 22:21-30.  What is the right?
1 Kings 3:16-28.  What right(s) do you see?
Amos 7:10-17.  What right do you see?

Here are some considerations.
“In matters of conscience the soul must be left untrammeled (shackled or hampered). No one is to control another’s mind, to judge for another, or to prescribe his duty. God gives to every soul freedom to think, and to follow his own convictions. “Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” No one has a right to merge his own individuality in that of another. In all matters where principle is involved, “let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” Rom. 14:12, 5. In Christ’s kingdom there is no lordly oppression, no compulsion of manner. The angels of heaven do not come to the earth to rule, and to exact homage, but as messengers of mercy, to co-operate with men in uplifting humanity.”
“Let the kindness and courtesy of the minister be seen in his treatment of children. He should ever bear in mind that they are miniature men and women, younger members of the Lord’s family. These may be very near and dear to the Master and, if properly instructed and disciplined, will do service for Him, even in their youth. Christ is grieved with every harsh, severe, and inconsiderate word spoken to children. Their rights are not always respected, and they are frequently treated as though they had not an individual character which needs to be properly developed that it may not be warped and the purpose of God in their lives prove a failure.
“Indulgence in unlawful things has become a power to deprave mankind, to dwarf the mind and to pervert the faculties. Just such a state of things as exists today existed before the flood and before the destruction of Sodom. Dissipation is on the increase in our world. Handbills on which indecent pictures are printed are posted up along our streets to allure the eyes and deprave the morals. These presentations are of such a character as to stir up the basest passions of the human heart through corrupt imaginings. These corrupt imaginings are followed by defiling practices like those in which the Sodomites indulged. But the most terrible part of the evil is that it is practiced under the garb of sanctity. Our youth will be defiled, their thoughts degraded, and their souls polluted unless they are barricaded with the truth.”
“At the time of the birth of Christ the nation was chafing under the rule of her foreign masters, and racked with internal strife. The Jews had been permitted to maintain the form of a separate government; but nothing could disguise the fact that they were under the Roman yoke, or reconcile them to the restriction of their power. The Romans claimed the right of appointing and removing the high priest, and the office was often secured by fraud, bribery, and even murder. Thus the priesthood became more and more corrupt. Yet the priests still possessed great power, and they employed it for selfish and mercenary ends. The people were subjected to their merciless demands, and were also heavily taxed by the Romans. This state of affairs caused widespread discontent. Popular outbreaks were frequent. Greed and violence, distrust and spiritual apathy, were eating out the very heart of the nation.”
“To the oppressed and suffering Hebrews the day of their deliverance seemed to be long deferred; but in his own appointed time God designed to work for them in mighty power. Moses was not to stand, as he at first anticipated, at the head of armies, with waving banners and glittering armor. That people, so long abused and oppressed, were not to gain the victory for themselves, by rising up and asserting their rights. God’s purpose was to be accomplished in a way to pour contempt on human pride and glory. The deliverer was to go forth as a humble shepherd, with only a rod in his hand; but God would make that rod powerful in delivering his people from oppression, and in preserving them when pursued by their enemies.”
“ Matters connected with the church are to be kept within its own borders. If a Christian is abused, he is to take it patiently; if defrauded, he is not to appeal to courts of justice. Rather let him suffer loss and wrong. God will deal with the unworthy church member who defrauds his brother or the cause of God; the Christian need not contend for his rights. God will deal with the one who violates these rights. “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord” [Rom. 12:19]. An account is kept of all these matters, and for all the Lord declares that He will avenge. He will bring every work into judgment.”

What Happened To Honest Work?

What Happened To Honest Work?

Do you know of anyone who can’t seem to find someone to do something like paint, yardwork or what ever?  There seems to be a growing dilemma for workers.  Even on jobsites, keeping people busy is a full-time job in itself.
People that don’t want to work who have jobs put a strain upon the job to stay in existence.  When they are there just to get their time in, it won’t be long, they’ll be out of work.
Where did this growing trend come from?  The Word of God says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  Psalms 11:3.  The foundation of all society is the home.  Home is where the problem is started and if things aren’t corrected at home, then the trend will continue.  Parents must educate their children in correct habits of industry and see that they learn the importance of how to live at an early age.
At the school, sports activities take the place of honest work.  Children used to do agricultural work and trades that would give them exposure to working.  Some schools have begun to see this need but opposers of practical skills are many and much of the time they overrule these healthy habits.
So what’s happened to honest work?  Its waiting on somebody to see the problem and have the nerve to correct it.
“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.”  Genesis 3:19.

We Are Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

We Are Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

If we would elevate the moral standard in any country where we may be called to go, we must begin by correcting their physical habits. Virtue of character depends upon the right action of the powers of the mind and body.–Counsels on Health, p. 505.
In this country, physiology is not taught as a requirement in our schools.  It is left to the medical profession to study anatomy and physiology.  This is not enough or near enough to get the right results.  Everyone should acquire some knowledge of the structure and function of all the parts of the body and instruction in these lines should begin at a very early age covering the internal parts as well as the external parts.

digestion_med copy
Were this done, a lot of things that go into the body would not be allowed.  The problem with Americans, they consume almost anything and everything.  This is unhealthy.  The body was designed by God for a particular use and when it is abused, it responds with symptoms that require remedies and usually, the body defends against the remedies because they do not belong in there.  Oftentimes, medication is given to suppress the immune system so that some other medication will work.  This too, is abuse of the body.
Everything God created He placed under law and the human body is no exception.  When any of these laws are violated, there is a penalty for the violation.  God does not rule from the bench.  “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”  Galatians 6:7.  When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, the penalty for violating God’s express command was already there.  It was not added after they had sinned.  So it is with us.  When we violate the laws of our being, we suffer the sure results of our transgression.
Therefore, we must become intelligent regarding the laws of health.  We can find them in the Bible if we study to show ourselves approved unto God and not unto people who have no regard for His Word.
It is interesting how we take better care of our vehicles than we do our bodies.  We know for sure that if we don’t take care of them, they will brake down and we’ll need assistance to get back on the road again.  As simple as this analogy is, it is true likewise of the body. Our physical habitation is lent to us from God to develop a character that would withstand all the temptations that constantly come upon us and lead us into a wrong course of action and cause pain to our love ones, who themselves, are powerless to avert the consequences of our decisions.
Believe it or not, there are many foods that will alleviate many of the symptoms we suffer with.  These are not foreign to the body and can be assimilated into good blood without putting an added burden upon it as foreign medications do with their side affects.  Herbs are also a good source of remedial agencies if used intelligently.  Try using hot and cold water and sometimes even combining them in treatment.  Drinking plenty of water is a wonderful tonic. The sun is an excellent source of natural medicine.  Using it wisely and not overdoing it, brings great relief for some sufferers.  Exercise, by all means, is cheap enough to outperform many expensive medicines and doctor visits.  Do not overdue this one either.  Use all treatments moderately and sensibly.  Eliminating certain things from the diet is a good remedial act.  Reading Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14 is a good place to start.  They are God’s will for health.  You will experience the difference when you do this.
As we continue to print this publication, we will add other things of natural use that will be beneficial to you and your family.  We hope you will become well informed so that you can present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.  “ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it].”  1 Thessalonians  5:23, 24.

Voting For A King

Voting for A King

Soon the election for president of the United States will be over.  The people will have voted for their king.  Many, in the urgency of the hour will say later as they did the last time, “I wish I had voted the other way.”  The other way will be history and history cannot be changed.  What we have before us is the repetition of history.  Indeed, it is a mirror reflecting the future.  If we forget it, we are doomed to repeat it!
This scenario presented itself in the life of Christ.  There were the choices of candidates to be chosen for leadership.  There was Barabbas, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and Caesar.  Barrabas was an insurrectionist and a murderer.  The Pharisees were the party of liberality and the Sadducees were the conservatives.  Caesar was the incumbent king over the vast Roman Empire.  Which one was the lesser evil?  And there was Jesus, the Friend of sinners, who never competed or contended for any of the former positions.  He knew who He was and while they were all politicking for their various positions, He went about building His kingdom one person and one day at a time.
This is what is going on today.  While the world is busy in its round of daily activities, the kingdom of God is slowly but surely being built.  There is no politicking for office in God’s kingdom.  Entrance into it is available to all.  But, because of all the noise and hype in the earthly kingdom, it seems as if God’s kingdom does not exist.
There are those today who believe that Jesus’ kingdom was political.  In this they err.  Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight.”  John 18:36.  He also said, “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.”  Luke 17:20.  We say honesty is the best policy.  “Honesty will not tarry where policy is harbored. They will never agree; one is of Baal, the other of God.  Vol. 4 Testimonies p. 607.
The erring do not consider that God’s kingdom is not like man’s kingdom and because they do not understand the nature of God’s kingdom, they think it is like theirs.  God’s kingdom “is within you.”  Luke 17:21.  It is the kingdom of grace.  Grace is the ruling factor in the kingdom.  Grace is the power of God to do what’s right and honest.  No one can serve God acceptably without His grace working within them.
John the Baptist announced that the kingdom of God is at hand.  After Jesus’ wilderness temptation He began preaching the same message as that of John the Baptist.  When talking to Nicodemas He said “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  John 3:3.  This implies that a new birth experience is necessary to see the kingdom of grace.
This blindness is why many are seducing other Christians to cast votes for the blind, the aforementioned candidates.  Thus the proverb, “the blind leading the blind.”
If they were not blind, they would see the folly of their choices as the Jews came to realize theirs when they said, “We have no king but Caesar.”
“When left alone, Jesus “went up into a mountain apart to pray.” For hours He continued pleading with God. Not for Himself but for men were those prayers. He prayed for power to reveal to men the divine character of His mission, that Satan might not blind their understanding and pervert their judgment. The Saviour knew that His days of personal ministry on earth were nearly ended, and that few would receive Him as their Redeemer. In travail and conflict of soul He prayed for His disciples. They were to be grievously tried. Their long-cherished hopes, based on a popular delusion, were to be disappointed in a most painful and humiliating manner. In the place of His exaltation to the throne of David they were to witness His crucifixion. This was to be indeed His true coronation. But they did not discern this, and in consequence strong temptations would come to them, which it would be difficult for them to recognize as temptations. Without the Holy Spirit to enlighten the mind and enlarge the comprehension the faith of the disciples would fail. It was painful to Jesus that their conceptions of His kingdom were, to so great a degree, limited to worldly aggrandizement and honor. For them the burden was heavy upon His heart, and He poured out His supplications with bitter agony and tears.  Desire of Ages p. 379.

The Eagle Speaks

The-Eagle-Speaks

Special Edition:
“The Eagle Speaks”
Every nation in the world knows that The United States of America is great. But, greatness comes with a price. With greatness comes envy, jealously, competition and war. Even from within its own borders are dangers seen and unseen from the very highest officials to the lowest of the population. There is always danger and something lurking to destroy the greatness. This is not only true of the nation, but it is also true in business and institutions down to the common lots of society. An analogy is found in the world of crabs. It is said that if you put a group of crabs in a pot and leave the lid off, none will get out. Why? Because they will all try to pull each other down.
So our greatest danger is not from without. America has the means to withstand any and every attack from without. Our greatest danger is from within. And in order to understand the dangers from within, we must look within its own borders and face the reality of the dangers. To turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to the fact will be fatal to its greatness.
First, what is the origin of America and how did it come into existence?
It came alive in an effort of some of the people of Europe to seek refuge and asylum from persecution and government overreach of their lives. Both the church and the government were brutalizing them and they wanted relief. Each were intolerant of the freedom of basic beliefs and actions which were not in harmony with their rules and laws of conduct. In most cases, the church and the government were working together to control the people.
By the explorations of different adventurers with the support of governments such as Spain, France and England who saw their bottom line increasing, America was found and journeys were made and soon developed the idea that there was hope in the ‘new world’.
Many died in the quest to become free and many joined the movement to become wealthy and prosperous. Settlements were established and problems that came with the move were overcome and the nation was born. Some of the problems were most difficult to overcome but, nevertheless, they were. They had Indians to defeat. Food was a major problem and infighting was hard to control.
Eventually, they reached a point of sanity and the need for laws to govern the colonies and ultimately the nation. The civil war was a huge drain and it appeared that the nation would come to ruin.
But, back to the beginnings. The leaders saw the need to lay aside their differences for the betterment of the nation and they prayed and crafted legislation which today, is the marvel of the world. It was the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. These two documents lie at the foundation of America’s greatness. It is here, where the battle is being fought once again. Men in leadership in the government and men in powerful places in the country are seeking to tear down the walls that keep America great.
Where did these men, Americans, get their ideas to tear down this great nation? There can be no doubt but that they got it from their education that was provided them or somewhere within the realms of their education.
As men depart from God, of whom the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were based upon, they come up with another way of governing.
They are as follows: Amendment #1 (1791).
Who will stand up for them?
The speaking of the eagle is the passing of its laws. The future of America is very bleak and dismal to say the least. There is no tolerance for the Word of God in schools or colleges. There are court actions to prevent lawmakers from addressing God in their assemblies. There are actions to remove crosses from military graves, etc. The tear in the fabric of our society is getting worse every day as new accounts of yesterday are coming out in the news. Today, there will be more attacks and the list of devotees are growing.
The most alarming thing is that the leadership is involved in the tearing down. Apparently, they come from the same mold as all the others who want this country changed from the inside out so that they can hopefully, have their selfishness, their idolatry, etc. They don’t seem to realize that because America is great, they have the freedom to do basically what they want to. They want every one to think like they think. They want God and the Bible out of their lives.
Meanwhile, history is recorded that shows the results of their aim. France is a striking example of what they are trying to do. Spiritualism found deep roots in its society all the way to the seat of government. Here’s a brief account: “Said the orator who introduced the worship of reason: “Legislative fanaticism has lost its hold; it has given place to reason. We have left its temples; they are regenerated. Today an immense multitude are assembled under its gothic roofs, which, for the first time, will re-echo the voice of truth. There the French will celebrate the true worship, that of Liberty and Reason. There we will form new vows for the prosperity of the armies of the Republic; there we will abandon the worship of inanimate idols for that of Reason– this animated image, the masterpiece of creation.”
When the goddess (a lowlife woman) was brought into the convention, the orator took her by the hand, and turning to the assembly said: “Mortals, cease to tremble before the powerless thunders of a God whom your fears have created. Henceforth acknowledge no divinity but Reason. I offer you its noblest and purest image; if you must have idols, sacrifice only to such as this. . . . Fall before the august senate of freedom, veil of Reason.”
“The goddess, after being embraced by the president, was mounted on a magnificent car, and conducted, amidst an immense crowd, to the cathedral of Notre Dame, to take the place of the Deity. Then she was elevated on the high altar, and received the adoration of all present.”
This was followed, not long afterward, by the public burning of the Bible. And “the popular society of the museum entered the hall of the municipality, exclaiming, Vive la Raison! and carrying on the top of a pole the half-burned remains of several books, among others the breviaries of the Old and New Testaments, which ‘expiated in a great fire,’ said the president, ‘all the fooleries which they have made the human race commit.’” The Great Controversy pages 275, 276.
Although God has met this challenge before, He will triumph over it again. Even though “The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God.,” (Psalms 14:1), “every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11.
Satan knows that his time to work is short and although he has gathered as it seems the whole world on his side, he and all his sympathizers are going to perish.
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever:
But thou, LORD, [art most] high for evermore.” Psalms 92:6-8.

The Tearing Down of America is Prophesied

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. Revelation 13:11-18.

Meaning of symbols: Beast (nation, Dan. 7:23); Lamb (Christ, Joh. 1:29); Dragon (Satan, Rev. 12:9).
This lamb-like (Christ-like or Christian) beast points to the one and only nation who can fulfill this prophecy. There is much to be learned from these verses but, I want to focus on the three highlighted words, life, speak or spake and causeth.
To give life is to make law or place under law. Adam was created by God to be under law. In fact, all of His creation is under law and obedience to His laws is essential for life. When one breaks a law, he must come under the penalty of that law because all violations have penalties. The Congress of the United States is the lawmaking body. It is the highest in the land. The speaking of the law is the law in action (ratified) and the causing is the enforcement of the law.
If you will notice verse 11 closely, you will see a change from the actions and activities of the Lamb-like beast to the speaking as a dragon. The dragon represents Satan’s form of government which is spiritualism. See Rev. 16:13, 14.
When America was founded it was founded by Christians who came here with the idea that they would form a government under two distinct powers (Lamb-like horns). Horns represent powers. The first power of the lamb was its religion. They wanted to form a church without a pope. They knew what it was to be under the intolerance of the popes of Rome. And the second power they sought to establish was a government without a king. They knew what it was to be under the intolerance of a king or dictator.
In other words, they formed a government on the broad foundation of Protestantism (no pope) and Republicanism (of the people, or no king). This government was formed under God. The law of God as written by Moses was the basis of this formation and today, it is being torn to shreds until the dragon (spiritualism) is now speaking and causing people to worship Satan instead of God.
As more time is given us and the Lord doesn’t come soon, we will continue to study this prophecy.
