The Eagle Speaks

Special Edition:
“The Eagle Speaks”
Every nation in the world knows that The United States of America is great. But, greatness comes with a price. With greatness comes envy, jealously, competition and war. Even from within its own borders are dangers seen and unseen from the very highest officials to the lowest of the population. There is always danger and something lurking to destroy the greatness. This is not only true of the nation, but it is also true in business and institutions down to the common lots of society. An analogy is found in the world of crabs. It is said that if you put a group of crabs in a pot and leave the lid off, none will get out. Why? Because they will all try to pull each other down.
So our greatest danger is not from without. America has the means to withstand any and every attack from without. Our greatest danger is from within. And in order to understand the dangers from within, we must look within its own borders and face the reality of the dangers. To turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to the fact will be fatal to its greatness.
First, what is the origin of America and how did it come into existence?
It came alive in an effort of some of the people of Europe to seek refuge and asylum from persecution and government overreach of their lives. Both the church and the government were brutalizing them and they wanted relief. Each were intolerant of the freedom of basic beliefs and actions which were not in harmony with their rules and laws of conduct. In most cases, the church and the government were working together to control the people.
By the explorations of different adventurers with the support of governments such as Spain, France and England who saw their bottom line increasing, America was found and journeys were made and soon developed the idea that there was hope in the ‘new world’.
Many died in the quest to become free and many joined the movement to become wealthy and prosperous. Settlements were established and problems that came with the move were overcome and the nation was born. Some of the problems were most difficult to overcome but, nevertheless, they were. They had Indians to defeat. Food was a major problem and infighting was hard to control.
Eventually, they reached a point of sanity and the need for laws to govern the colonies and ultimately the nation. The civil war was a huge drain and it appeared that the nation would come to ruin.
But, back to the beginnings. The leaders saw the need to lay aside their differences for the betterment of the nation and they prayed and crafted legislation which today, is the marvel of the world. It was the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. These two documents lie at the foundation of America’s greatness. It is here, where the battle is being fought once again. Men in leadership in the government and men in powerful places in the country are seeking to tear down the walls that keep America great.
Where did these men, Americans, get their ideas to tear down this great nation? There can be no doubt but that they got it from their education that was provided them or somewhere within the realms of their education.
As men depart from God, of whom the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were based upon, they come up with another way of governing. This is the mystery of iniquity at work. As a serpent will strike without enchantment, so will men come up out of nowhere and strike when you least expect them to. And when these type of thinkers get in positions of responsibility, they can do the most damage in a short space of time. They care not for the greatness of the nation or reverence God. They only care about themselves and their cause. They are more dangerous than open and avowed enemies.
Presently, the first two Amendments to the constitution are in the cross hairs of these men. They are as follows: Amendment #1 (1791). Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment #2 (1791). A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
All across this great nation, local, state and federal violations are taking place against people’s freedom to exercise these Constitutional rights. These violations are tearing out the heart of America. When America becomes like the nations of Europe again, where will the people flee to then? Who will stand up for them?
The speaking of the eagle is the passing of its laws. The future of America is very bleak and dismal to say the least. There is no tolerance for the Word of God in schools or colleges. There are court actions to prevent lawmakers from addressing God in their assemblies. There are actions to remove crosses from military graves, etc. The tear in the fabric of our society is getting worse every day as new accounts of yesterday are coming out in the news. Today, there will be more attacks and the list of devotees are growing.
The most alarming thing is that the leadership is involved in the tearing down. Apparently, they come from the same mold as all the others who want this country changed from the inside out so that they can hopefully, have their selfishness, their idolatry, etc. They don’t seem to realize that because America is great, they have the freedom to do basically what they want to. They want every one to think like they think. They want God and the Bible out of their lives.
Meanwhile, history is recorded that shows the results of their aim. France is a striking example of what they are trying to do. Spiritualism found deep roots in its society all the way to the seat of government. Here’s a brief account: “Said the orator who introduced the worship of reason: “Legislative fanaticism has lost its hold; it has given place to reason. We have left its temples; they are regenerated. Today an immense multitude are assembled under its gothic roofs, which, for the first time, will re-echo the voice of truth. There the French will celebrate the true worship, that of Liberty and Reason. There we will form new vows for the prosperity of the armies of the Republic; there we will abandon the worship of inanimate idols for that of Reason– this animated image, the masterpiece of creation.”
When the goddess (a lowlife woman) was brought into the convention, the orator took her by the hand, and turning to the assembly said: “Mortals, cease to tremble before the powerless thunders of a God whom your fears have created. Henceforth acknowledge no divinity but Reason. I offer you its noblest and purest image; if you must have idols, sacrifice only to such as this. . . . Fall before the august senate of freedom, veil of Reason.”
“The goddess, after being embraced by the president, was mounted on a magnificent car, and conducted, amidst an immense crowd, to the cathedral of Notre Dame, to take the place of the Deity. Then she was elevated on the high altar, and received the adoration of all present.”
This was followed, not long afterward, by the public burning of the Bible. And “the popular society of the museum entered the hall of the municipality, exclaiming, Vive la Raison! and carrying on the top of a pole the half-burned remains of several books, among others the breviaries of the Old and New Testaments, which ‘expiated in a great fire,’ said the president, ‘all the fooleries which they have made the human race commit.’” The Great Controversy pages 275, 276.
Although God has met this challenge before, He will triumph over it again. Even though “The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God.,” (Psalms 14:1), “every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:11.
Satan knows that his time to work is short and although he has gathered as it seems the whole world on his side, he and all his sympathizers are going to perish.
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2,3.
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever:
But thou, LORD, [art most] high for evermore.” Psalms 92:6-8.

The Tearing Down of America is Prophesied

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. Revelation 13:11-18.

Meaning of symbols: Beast (nation, Dan. 7:23); Lamb (Christ, Joh. 1:29); Dragon (Satan, Rev. 12:9).
This lamb-like (Christ-like or Christian) beast points to the one and only nation who can fulfill this prophecy. There is much to be learned from these verses but, I want to focus on the three highlighted words, life, speak or spake and causeth.
To give life is to make law or place under law. Adam was created by God to be under law. In fact, all of His creation is under law and obedience to His laws is essential for life. When one breaks a law, he must come under the penalty of that law because all violations have penalties. The Congress of the United States is the lawmaking body. It is the highest in the land. The speaking of the law is the law in action (ratified) and the causing is the enforcement of the law.
If you will notice verse 11 closely, you will see a change from the actions and activities of the Lamb-like beast to the speaking as a dragon. The dragon represents Satan’s form of government which is spiritualism. See Rev. 16:13, 14.
When America was founded it was founded by Christians who came here with the idea that they would form a government under two distinct powers (Lamb-like horns). Horns represent powers. The first power of the lamb was its religion. They wanted to form a church without a pope. They knew what it was to be under the intolerance of the popes of Rome. And the second power they sought to establish was a government without a king. They knew what it was to be under the intolerance of a king or dictator.
In other words, they formed a government on the broad foundation of Protestantism (no pope) and Republicanism (of the people, or no king). This government was formed under God. The law of God as written by Moses was the basis of this formation and today, it is being torn to shreds until the dragon (spiritualism) is now speaking and causing people to worship Satan instead of God.
As more time is given us and the Lord doesn’t come soon, we will continue to study this prophecy.
